  Upgrade Guide for PHP 5.1.0

Looking at upgrade my many installations of PHP to 5.1.0 I came across this page on the php.net website and thought you might want to check it out yourself.

Just one of the topics looked at is code that works and doesn't work under the new release along with code that now works that failed in the past.




  PHP 5.1.0 Released

With the release of PHP 5.1.0 you will find that not only are their bug fixes and improvement but over 30 new functions in various extensions.

On the security side the phpinfo() cross site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been addressed along with bypass possibilities with safe_mode/open_basedir.

  PHP 4.3.2RC3 Released for QA.

PHP 4.3.2RC3 has been released. This is the third and final release candidate and should have no critical problems/bugs. Nevertheless, please download and test it as much as possible on real-life applications to uncover any remaining issues.
